Artist Statement

This site is by no means “everything” but I do consider it to be a healthy, core sampling of my inquiry.
In “Paintings” I have posted what amounts to the focus of this site, all of it in chronological order from oldest to newest.
In “Tornadoes” I have posted imagery concerned with tornadoes per se, also in chronological order.
In “Critters” you will find an array of studies, most of them painted very quickly.
And in “Commissions” there are two labors of love that, while not what I usually do, were opportunities not to be missed…

Signed, numbered, and limited to an edition of 50, each giclee is printed on archival paper and suitable for home, museum, or gallery exhibition.

Here is a painting from WAY back in 1998. A little different, huh?! It is being held by McGinty's "Gallery at the End of the World" in Altadena, CA. Nice to see it again!

Posting this now finished commission piece called simply the "Musteric Family." We all agreed to go for something that seemed almost straight out of Ray Harryhausen and I am very pleased with the results. 36 x 56 inches, oil on canvas, 2018. Enjoy!
